Terrible, terrible accents.

It's Dublin in the days before mass transport, but there's hardly a Dublin accent to be heard.

Some of the accents are so bad it's hard to say whether they're supposed to be Galway or Hindustan.

Close's cockney is quite good but she hardly has anything to say anyway!

I completely agree!

To be honest, the majority of Irish accents in movies done by non natives are shockingly awful. They're usually some kind of butchered Northern Irish accent or some weird generic accent that nobody has in reality because foreigners can't hear the differences between our regional accents.

I agree with you both. Although I thought Aaron Johnson's accent was quite good. Not the best but he did better than Mia. I was cringing during the scene where she and Albert were conversing, sitting on a bench. Whatever accent that was, it certainly wasn't the least bit Irish.
