Despite what the naysayers thought, this movie obviously has industry support. It's the little movie that could.
Too bad the industry is terrible this year. Why wasn't "The Monster Squad" nominated for an oscar, it has better ratings.

I've seen most of the Oscar-nominated movies this year, and think Glenn Close and Janet McTeer gave the most Oscar-worthy performances I've seen. I know who I'm rooting for. And this is not to knock all the other fine nominees, but...well, I do think Close & McTeer are the most deserving.

I would have been okay if the movie had received nominations for best picture, song, screenplay, cinematography, costumes and supporting acting nods for Pauline Collins, Mia Wasikowska and Aaron Johnson.
