Career Achievement Award. Won't that help Glenn's Oscar chances?

no, the academy doesn't care about the Palm Springs International Film Festival. I love her to death, want her to get an academy award but not for this. just don't think it will happen.

Sometimes it just what's the competition. I don't think so either, but as they say you never know. I think the Golden Globes comes first so we'll have to see how that goes down. If it does well there, maybe.

I think the Academy cares more about Carnnes.

Speaking as a woman I think Glenn Close (she's not THAT old...only 15 years than me...barely old enough to be my mom), makes one handsome "man". Looks more Irish than English.

That something about humans, some females are better looking as men and vice versa and it has nothing to do with "transgender".

Did I mention I love the Irish?

IMO, Hollwood(read-the Academy) doesn't give Career Awards to women. They do give them to men, mostly in the supporting category, but generally not to women. Ms Close wil get some mentions in year-end reviews, maybe a nom, but she won't win.
