Movie would have ended quick for me. While he killed the man with a dog, I'd pull out my 1911 compact and take him down with two shots of .45 to the body and one to the head. Then we'd call the police and go home.

I either carry a Colt New Agent compact 1911, a S&W full size 1911 (government) or a S&W snub nose eight shot .357 magnum. I also have a 1911 chambered in .357 magnum but I haven't carried it yet because I do not have a holster for it. I had to get a custom made holster which takes 6 to 8 weeks. A holster for a 1911 which is normally chambered in .45 ACP will not bet large enough for a .357 magnum.
The only time I am not carrying a gun in places where it isn't legal such a schools, airplanes, federal building etc.
My 30 round AR-15 magazine and my 50 round Thompson machine gun magazines are standard capacity magazines I have no hi capacity mags all my magazines are standard capacity, 30 and 50 round mags. My AR-15s are not assault weapons nor are they high power rifles, they are sport utility rifles slightly larger than a ..22 caliber (.223)
Not sure about OP but I live in Virginia. If you've been watching the news lately its not as pleasant a state as it used to be, but we are allowed concealed carry assumed we have no felonies nor an excess of misdemeanors.
I carry a Ruger LCP everywhere except college. There I am required to leave it in a lock box in the trunk.
Personally I am amazed with all the real life horror stories out there that more people dont conceal carry or at least use mace & pepper spray. Or tasers.
