I like her character, but she talks to everyone with puppy eyes. It's over-kill.
I enjoy this show. I'm 3 seasons in and it's well-delivered with an excellent story. The occasional shock is nicely thrown in.
It is and has been McGovern's signature look and is considered quite beautiful by many people.

You could also complain about Smith's constant facial distortions or Bonneville's baby faced, corn-tooth smile. It's who they are.
Aren't you able to muster up enough courage and admit that someone's appearance bothers you?
