Anybody saw the irony with Minneapolis?

Through the film, such a big deal was made about Mavis living in Minn as if it was a big privilege to live in there, yet they kept calling it miniapple, and if I'm not mistaken, it's a reference to how Minn compares to NYC. She wants to believe that she has achieved so much when in reality she couldn't afford going anywhere but to a beta version of NY.

Well she was a ghostwriter she doesn't get as much of the proceeds of the book as the author on the cover does.

Probably not a top 10 city.

But have you been to NYC? Dirty crumbly dusty dump!

I have. It's not as dirty as some cities I have been to, but it's too dirty to be so touristic and prestigious. Although I can't deny that it has its beauty and spark.

Minneapolis was a nice small city until recently, when the barbarian hordes started tearing it apart.
