Spider should have been played by an adult

Having a teenage boy wear that on set in Hollywood? Put a minor at risk.

What if Bryan Singer was hired to help direct?

reply

They clearly hired him on looks and not acting talent.

Also the character's motivations were all over the place.

reply

He was annoying.

reply

It's so apt that they called him Monkey Boy. Compared to the alienness of the Na'vi, he really DOES look like a monkey!

reply

Imagine if he was black and had that moniker.

reply

What's skin colour got to do with it? Humans evolved from apes, get over it.

reply

Evolution has no merit for me.

reply

Humans did not evolve from apes. Do people really still believe this? 🙄

reply

It didn't even make sense. Does Pandora even have monkeys? How could such a comparisson even be made?

reply

Spider is a human.

And yes, Pandora has monkeys, of a sort.

reply

That may still be the case in the following sequels if there is another time jump.

reply

I was thinking that Spider should have been played by an actual spider.

reply

Having Spider not be basically Tarzan was a mistake and lost opportuinty. That would of course take away from Team Sully.
