Where do people call hot dogs sausages?
Or are there areas where people actually eat sausages in a bun?

shareYou do at BBQs in the UK. Eat sausages in a bun that is.
I like that boulder. That is a nice boulder.
Hot dogs, bratwurst, kielbasa, etc. are all sausages. Any meat in a casing is.

I'm talking about common usage. I've never heard anybody call a hot dog (i.e. "frank" or "weiner") a sausage, even when I was in Iowa. Where you're from, do they call Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs, Ball Park Franks, etc. sausages?

If they were going for double entendre they should have gone for "Weiner Party."
shareExcept that the correct term used for such a party/gathering where most of the attendees are male is called a "sausage party," not a "weiner party."
shareI was not aware of that. Is that a gay term? (no offense)
shareDoesn't seem to be. Just a slang term:

I read all the definitions on your link, and there are some pretty funny ones, so I can see why they chose this title, even though it doesn't seem to be particularly apt for this movie (except for the egregious fact that in real life hot dogs come 10 to a package and buns only 8).
