I'm talking about common usage. I've never heard anybody call a hot dog (i.e. "frank" or "weiner") a sausage, even when I was in Iowa. Where you're from, do they call Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs, Ball Park Franks, etc. sausages?

Not colloquially, no.
We call them hot dogs like everyone else, even if they are technically a sausage. The writers just pushed the technicality a bit because "sausage" is more of a double entendre than hot dog would be.

If they were going for double entendre they should have gone for "Weiner Party."

I read all the definitions on your link, and there are some pretty funny ones, so I can see why they chose this title, even though it doesn't seem to be particularly apt for this movie (except for the egregious fact that in real life hot dogs come 10 to a package and buns only 8).
