What in the hell did that writer have to do with the storyline? It seems like a freelance job gone wrong but why was that a concern? I'm really confused. It seemed like this episode was filler.

There are 'stand alone' episodes in each season of Girls, where a character is away from the others - some might consider them filler, but I really enjoy them. This episode was beautifully produced, with a very thought provoking topic, and showcased well the talents of Matthew Rhys and Lena Dunham.

The episode was confusing and didn't really move the plot along, if there really was one. I think it was filler.
