Agreed - kind of like the movie Trainwreck which implied that Amy Schumer's character just hopped from cock to cock.

Certainly there are more than 2 other female comediennes out there, beyond those 2 you just mentioned. Giving Amy the tag 'hottest' is a huge compliment and a validation on the part of Vanity Fair, especially considering how many fame-hungry wanna-bes are out there. If you asked VF why they gave her this month's cover story, what do you think their reasons would be? That is my challenge to you.

shareSeriously? Dunham actually isn't that bad-looking when she gets herself made up and wears fashionable clothes (for her,that is.) I saw a photo shoot of her in some women's magazine where she looked really nice---all she needed was a touch up with some make-up, and she was good to go. Also, she is not even that fat (especially by real world standards)---she's only fat by Hollywood's unrealistic standard that says all women should be a damn skeletal size 2. I mean, I've seen male actors/writers/directors who are MUCH more uglier and unattractive (and narcissistic) than she is (like QT, a prime example) and they don't get slammed for their looks anywhere near to the point where Dunham gets slammed. I mean, give me a break already about her looks.

Ok, I agree that this show doesn't seem realistic. I am going to borrow a phrase from the movie "Clerks II" where Rosario Dawson's character says something like "it is horrible, but I can't take my eyes off of it." That is sort of how I feel about "Girls." If that is the way our younger adults work and behave, this country would be in much worse condition than it is already.
The only character in this show I respect is "funny mouth" Ray, and he has problems also, but is fairly responsible and reliable. Marnie is beautiful and has sex with every man who looks at her for more than 3 seconds consecutively. Shoshana talks so fast I can only get 75% of what she says, and she is in need of psychological counseling. Hannah(who also needs counseling) is so needy, horny, stupid at times, and self centered, that she is hard to like though she does talk intelligently and quickly. Adam is so erratic that it is hard to see what he will react to in a situation. Jessa is pretty but can't keep a job,or anything else, which can be said for just about all of them. An STD on any of these characters would eventually show up in the whole set, as sex happens for almost any situation.
If the majority of our youth drank, screwed, and took drugs like this group, it would be a pitiful third world nation. Fortunately, this isn't the case though I have read comments that state this tv show is much more accurate about women than "Sex and the City" was. Both shows are unrealistic to what I have been exposed to here in America.
All that being said, I will probably watch any new episodes.
Guys tend to see ugly fat chicks like Lena as an easy lay.
