I can't tell if I'm disappointed or happy it didn't end that way. Hans was just so eager to tell them anything. And had what seemed rehearsed responses for all their questions. I realize he says that he's tired and tired of how things are done so he wants new management but then a few moments later he says they don't escape their territories often. If he doesn't have to do his job too regularly and he's too old for this *beep* couldn't he begin training a replacement to manage? Maybe there was more to it. But then Thomas and his injury slowly getting worse. Rubbing that scent on their bodies but we don't see Hans do it. Every person Hans introduced the film crew to seemed annoyed by them at first then quickly accepted the situation and fed them a little more information about the trolls. I know Hans is quite the badass but they all seem quick to give up a national secret. Even the guy who tries to take the camera gives up pretty easily. All the while Hans is driving them to stranger and stranger places. It looked like one big show for the crew.
