Casting is all wrong!

I get that Costner loves his script and that it’s deemed good. However nobody will pay to see a film starring Sam Worthington. Costner messed up casting him. Another actor might have brought asses in seats.

reply

They paid to see Avatar which made a billion, both one and two...

reply

That was not because of him!

reply

laughed pretty hard when i saw his name in the credits. that dude is box office cancer.

reply

Yes, he’s been very unfortunate in that regards! His small Avatar fanbase will not resonate with this western.

reply

This guy ruined two Clash of the Titans movies! TWO!

reply

Those aren’t the only films he ruined !

reply

He does a fine job in the film, and furthermore, his name is just one of many. The film has a stacked cast and there's no real star, as there is no real central character.

reply

Kevin Costner is not star and central character of this movie?

reply

Kevin Costner is only in about a quarter of the movie. His character may get more screen time as the story moves forward, but in this first part there are multiple storylines that play out, with each focused on a different lead character: Costner, Worthington and Luke Wilson. I may even be forgetting someone else.

reply

Wow, okay, thanks for the heads up on his screen time in chapter 1.

reply

After Avatar Worthington made actually quite compelling movies. He is not the action star Cameron and Spielberg tried to make out of him, but in dramas he is actually not bad.
