what a great animated/rotoscoped thing. Not sure what it was for, but it was still a wonderful tale. tail? ;) The animation was sublime. Put A Scanner Darkly to shame.
Was the kitten dreaming? Or did it happen. Shame this is just a by way to the next season, I for one could watch more of this. Everything was just.... Sandman. Not watched the second part as of yet, the live action part, but I'm liking who I see cast!

I think the Sandman would actually be better as an animated show. The cost of animation has got be cheaper and they could copy the style of the comics.

This episode was pure joy, fascination and wonderment for me from start to finish.
I have no great love of animation but I thought that part of the episode was superbly well done - the cats and their mannerisms were brilliantly depicted.
And I enjoyed the second story too.
The actor who played the tortured and rapacious writer was really well cast I thought.
I have to admit, I was a bit on the fence with this series but now I can't wait for more episodes- animated ones or not.
I truly thought these 2 stories were perfect.
