I haven't read the book, knew there was one but never looked into it. Just finished watching it since it's on Netflix and I absolutely loved every moment of it. Visually stunning.
I get that people who read the book would be upset. Happens every time. It's different worlds man, relax, and enjoy the film. Dont take it all so seriously :)
I read the book years ago for my AP French class in high school, and was the rose in the play we did for the class, too. :) I love the book - even though the movie differs greatly, I absolutely loved it, and thought it was a respectable take on a classic and well-loved tale. I can also definitely understand book fans being disappointed if they were hoping for a completely faithful movie version. I, however, loved this take on The Little Prince, and thought it was just an overall fantastic "feel good" film with some meaningful points to take away from.
