Why the survivors are heavily armed and the cannibals are not?

It´s weird, the cannibals are the closest thing to a town and have no weapons, while the survivors are just running and act like a militia. Why the cannibals keep coming blindless if they know the enemy has such a great advantage?

Agreed.

Yeah, that is a huge plothole, IMO. There's just no way that this group that has been dominating the countryside has no guns. Unless they've just been so insanely reckless with their ammunition so they don't have anything left. Still, there are so few humans left, there has to be ammunition to be found somewhere. Makes no sense.

The more you come into contact with other survivors, the more likely you use your gun.

The group avoids people while cannibals seek them out.

Who's more likely to have not used up their ammo?
