Producer says there is room on the show for Kelly and Kris

http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/08/07/charlies-angels-cameos/ I hope those two don't grace this show with their presence. It looks awful.

..and then a pilot will be created for Kelly/Kris as co-detectives,and so on.

I would love to see Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith on the show as Kris and Kelly. They were always my favorites.

reply

I don't see Ladd and Smith doing guest-roles on a remake of a show that they made a point of advancing from. I doubt their salary demand would be met anyway.

James MacArthur left the original Hawaii 5-o before the final season and tried to distance himself from the role, but when the new show started last season he said he liked the show and would like to do a guest appearance on the show. Unfortunately he died about a month after the show premiered and wasn't able to do a guest role on the show. I don't think Jacklyn or Cheryl would turn down a guest spot on this series, either, but they should wait until these characters have established themselves first.

I don't know, they didn't accept a cameo in the feature-film remake.

reply

Jaclyn Smith did. She was in the second one, Charlie's Angels : Full Throttle as Kelly Garrett.

I think they'd do it. Jaclyn congratulated the new show on it's success and did a cameo in the second Angels film. Cheryl isn't working much and she could get a fair amount of press coverage by returning to her Angels role.

reply

Cheryl recently said she and Jaclyn are looking for a project to work together and I think it would be a success. It's the studios who feel actresses over 45 are worthless! SAD

reply

I guess maybe it was a good thing that Kris and Kelly didn't return since the reboot version is worse than the films.
