Exploring the Punk Ideology in Ben Stiller's Character of Josh in Noah Baumbach's Film
Ben Stiller's character was kinda cool and actually punk, I think there are people among a certain generation who grew up listening to alternative music, which had a kind of ideology rooted in punk. Director Noah Baumbach is well known to be among this generation and his character of Josh makes sense to me when looking at it that way. Josh (Ben Stiller) is a man growing old who gets pissed about integrity, while both the mainstream younger (Adam Driver) and older (Charles Grodin) men don't think it actually matters
