Black Panther SMASHED Deadpool's February opening weekend record in 2 days!!!

I'm talking about the 3 day weekend here. So let's put this into perspective. Deadpool smashed the previous record of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' by $48M.

Deadpool Fox $132,434,639
Fifty Shades of Grey Uni. $85,171,450

So we have $75M + $66M Saturday estimates = $141M. Yes, it beat Deadpools record in 2 days. A couple weeks ago that was supposed to be the best case scenario but we're in heading into crazy uncharted box office territories. Disney/Marvel is extremely HOT at the moment.

Marvel Studios just opened a film in February....and the film performed like the Ultimate Summer Blockbuster...

absolutely incredible....

The Numbers just keep coming in higher and higher

Well, Deadpool didn't have the pre-release free advertising from millions of white people heralding the imminent arrival of the film as a landmark cultural moment that no Caucasian would want to miss. Nor did it have the support of mainstream media doing that very same thing.

Not taking anything away from Deadpool's box office run. That was also amazing in itself. Just illustrating how big in comparison it is. Plus which film wouldn't want that extra buzz. They made it happen, so they should be credited :D
