So The Hollywood Reporter reports that -
Monday night update: #BlackPanther could now come in at $242M or more after a possible record-breaking Monday that beats @starwars FORCE AWAKENS’ unadjusted $40.1M. History-making is an understatement.

The initial 4 day weekend being $235M was once again underestimated by $7M. This isn't a Star Wars movie nor is it opening in the lucrative holiday season, it's February of all months. There's literally no words for how astounding this movie continues to perform at the box office. Word of mouth has kicked into overdrive. This is going to make at least 550M+ which is $202M(3 day opening) x 2.7 (average MCU legs).
The MCU this year is going to make almost as much as Universial did last year by themselves. Black Panther(550M+), Avengers Infinity War(550M+), Ant Man and the Wasp (200M+) vs 1.5B and they were only the 3rd highest grossing studio. This is just one sub-studio of Disney!
