R.I.P Chadwick Boseman

Didn't like the movie, but that totally sucks. Seemed like a good young actor with a lot of potential and a good person. Sad to see him die so young. Colon cancer in young people has been on the rise for the past decade which is scary because it is so lethal. Also by the time you start having symptoms you may be in stage 3 or 4 and it's too late, just awful. Rest in peace good sir.

Is Chadwick Boseman the first actor to die while being right in the middle of a career as a superhero? I want to say George Reeves may have been the first, but his Superman series was officially out of production less than a year before his death. One suggestion that I heard in the video below is Brandon Lee. But The Crow while based on a comic book property, technically, isn't a superhero franchise. And even if Lee hadn't died when he did, he likely wouldn't have played Eric Draven (simply due to obviously completing his character arc at the end of the movie) after a single movie. There's also Heath Ledger, but he was playing a villain in The Dark Knight, and there was no guarantee that he was going to come back as the Joker anyway.
