Why does Walt care who the new Hector is?

I don't get why Walt is so obsessed with who the new Hector is, since he was never that interested in the real Hector unless he came off the Reservation. Since he isn't the law on the reservation, why does he care so much who Hector is now, or what they are doing on the Reservation.
Doesn't he have enough to worry about in his own county?

Walt & co. Do not have the best record for respecting the reservation. He just waltzes in to the rez whenever the hell he feels like it, like he owns the place. Mathias has to constantly chase him and his deputies off of reservation land. The fact the rez is not his jurisdiction doesn't seem to matter a whole lot. It's no wonder Mathias punched him in the face the beginning of season 1.

Hollywood is a place where they'll pay you $50,000 for a kiss and 50 cents for your soul.
