We Need More Episodes !

please, Please, PLEASE give the fans more episodes per season!
I enjoy watching Longmire than ANY police/cop/detective/law show only any of the 3-letter big production networks.
The main characters are endearing, the plot lines intriguing and overall Longmire is just a plain old damn good modern western!
Give Us More.... PLEASE !

Second, that.

I certainly wouldn't complain if there were a few more episodes, or a few dozen more. 😀

Contact Netflix. Wishing for it here does no good. I highly doubt you will get more. S2 had 13 and then they went back to 10. I don't think the showrunners want to do more than 10 a season. They seem to want to stick to a 3 month filming schedule and claim writing the scripts for 10 eps. allows little time off in a year. Not sure I buy that as an excuse as Network shows do more than double the eps. in a year. I think they are a bit spoiled.

It would seem to me that a three-month window to film this fine show is needed due to the conditions of Wyoming after its nicer season ends.

They don't film in WY but in and around Santa Fe New Mexico. A 3 month filming schedule is actually pretty short especially for a show like Longmire with a lot of outdoor location shooting. Most shows have longer than 3 months to film 10 episodes. They could do more than 10 episodes a season they just choose not to.

Oh, thanks. I Googled "Durant, Wyoming" and it brought up two top sites showing that a lot takes place in Buffalo, Wyoming as a 'stand in' for the fictional town.

My guess is our lead character has a life. He's good at what he does and brings the other actors to task to do that as well. JMHO as I'm clueless. He's also made a few things other than this since starting this so might have schedule issues as well?

I'm happy with 10. I can't complain as I'm NEW (Season 2) to the show. I prefer quality to quantity.

I was answering the original comment wanting more episodes and why that probably wouldn't
happen. 5 seasons in they probably won't change the number of episodes at this point if they get renewed for S6. They would have done it before now.

You just having discovered Longmire aren't as informed as those of us that have followed the show and the cast from the start of Longmire and that it was cancelled by A&E after S3 and then picked up by Netflix for S4.

Most of the cast Robert, Lou, A Martinez, Graham Greene, Zahn, Louis have all been in the business for a lot of years and they all do other projects when Longmire is on hiatus. Robert lives in Australia and he currently filming a movie in New Zealand, Cassidy was in Smallville before Longmire. Zahn was in season 2 of Fargo last year and is filming a new series The Son in Texas, Louis (Omar) is currently in Westworld on HBO. Lou Diamond Plillips is always working and has done several movies while also doing Longmire. Adam Bartley was just on NCIS:LA for the 2nd time and has guested on Bones and Lucifer. Cassidy did NCIS:NOLA and is guesting on the new series Doubt plus she produced and filmed her own movie last year after Longmire filming finished.

These are all in demand actors but they all love working on Longmire and Robert Taylor loves the Santa Fe area.

I run into this at the Criminal Minds IMDb forum as well. People who can tell you who wrote, directed, casted, inspired, each episode because they're so into the actors, show, etc. I respect that. I have an eye for detail but it swings toward more visual soulful things so I get it. So no, I had no idea.

However, many thanks for those cast details, who, other than LDP, are new to me. I blame it on me bein' a Boomer and 80's Gen. ;)

Not sure why A & E dropped it, but A & E ain't what it used to be either. And neither is BRAVO. But it wouldn't have made any difference. The reason I'm watching this is I don't watch TV. This was an option on the 'Recently Added' thread on Netflix. I chose it for something different. It is. And in a good way.

Make it a good one...

I agree, I'll take as many as they will dish out, lol. But, at least they are full hour episodes, commercial-free, not the 40 minutes we get with network fare.
