According to this 2014 WSJ article, the license fee paid by A&E for the third season was $1.5 million per episode. I believe it is safe to assume that the cost per season is more than $15 million.

I am loyal to Netflix because they have picked up some of my favorite shows. I thought season 5 was strong and enjoyed it.
Looking forward to season 6, 7 ,8 etc etc...
