shareSo all this was about a golf course that nighthorse had started back in season 1 or 2 and somehow the deal fell through, they found a dead body on the land, but yet they can build a 500 million dollar gambling casino Barlow could not afford to put one on his land but yet Walt Longmire had all that land on a policeman's budget?..... 2 million years together couldn't come up with a few acres for a golf course?

shareWalt's land is probably passed down from generations. And most likely acquired most of it during a period when land was much cheaper.
That being said, Barlow's plan is all to spit on Longmire and his life's work, his legacy and his daughter's inheritance.
Seems to me that Walt could easily beat this civil suit by selling the land to his daughter for $1 and lifetime rights. Would completely defuse the entire suit and I suspect the plaintiff’s only option would be to take the original $250k offer.
Or pave paradise and put up a parking lot.
