Season 5 episode 5 Objection

Did anyone else think those so-called depositions were a joke? Questions are prepared in advance and given to both attorneys. The answer are given for the record. A deposition is not a place for jerk-water lawyers to snipe at people and make snide comments. That garbage would never be admissible in court!

This whole on-going storyline is a waste of time. I really like the other plots in Longmire. I just want this ridiculous lawsuit to be over.

Someone please put me out of my misery! Does it get resolved by the end of season 5?

reply

Yes and the pacing around. Never seen that before while in deposition. Sitting in easy chairs. Poetic license I guess.

OP:

No, it doesn't. Very annoying.

It is poetic licence. I thought it went too far though, but maybe they are just trying to underscore the "wild west" undertone to the show???

In any event, in my experience, there is no (fictional) TV show that comes close to accurately depicting court proceedings.
