Not as good without Branch

Killing him off was a mistake, they killed and solved his case in a real abrupt way.

reply

i found him annoying and am glad he is gone....not happy his daddy is gone.

Agree with the OP completely

I miss Branch too, he seems to be a victim of "Game of Thrones Syndrome" and killed more for a shock then for anything else. He was on a really good redemption story-line and I wish we could have seen him at least somewhat redeem himself with everyone at the Sheriff's office.

reply

I think Branch was at times stealing the show. Yea the show was better with him.

reply

I don't miss him, I'm glad he's gone and his sonofabitch father too

Good riddance.

reply

yep, Branch was a great character

I miss Branch. Sure he was pain, but I think he wanted to be a good deputy. Branch wanted to be sheriff too fast, but he was learning about not getting things handed to him. I miss his character because he was sort of the antagonist who actually wanted to be the good guy. At the end of the day, Branch wanted to help people.

reply

Agreed
I still like the show but I miss that relationship and I think the writers messed up. Breaking bad wouldn't have been the same without Jesse or the Shield without Shane. That love- hate friendship was fun to watch.

reply

And I agree too. His was exactly the type of character I find engaging: the antagonist who grudgingly becomes...maybe never a friend, but at least an ally.

I agree, Branch was a character that has tons of potential. And much more could be added to the story with him not being killed off. He was able to have conflict with Walt but still be a good character. I would have much rather him continued to be a deputy that was able to be a large part of the story and have a different viewpoint about things.
