Why is mayor interfering with county problems?

Mayor has little power in county affairs . Doesn't make any sense

reply

A cop running wild in his city. (even if the he is employed by the county) does not look good for the Mayor.

In rural counties that have only one town, the Mayor would hold a good deal of power with the county board, especially if the county provides services to the town, like they do in the show.

He has an agenda that I believe will tie in with the arrogant lawyer who is suing Walt. They really need to resolve a lot of these story lines next season, this is starting to get boring because it has gone on the whole series (some of them).

reply

Have you watched to the end? That agenda is revealed in a conversation between Walt and that "arrogant lawyer." Although, the way it's presented, who knows...maybe it's showing us that Walt's paranoia is beginning to make him delusional.

(why isn't the character name included on the Longmire pages?)

reply

I guess they needed a new character.

He's power hungry and wants some of that Nighthorse money to back him so he has a rich ally. And as he said, if he takes out Walt, then he wants Jacob on his team
