why was Hector killed?

I guess i failed to see why the white warrior/david ridges wanted to kill him off? I missed the connection.

I assumed since Hector knew that Henry didn't kill Miller Beck that David Ridges killed him to prevent him from telling anyone, it would maybe have opened the door for an investigation that would have implicated him and Barlow Connolly.

That was a weird one, thanks or the explanation because it got by me.

Still baffled at why Hector was scalped, why the need for humiliation? It was a cool look, and shocking! Then again, I loved it when Walt Longmire arrested and jailed Hector. Sometimes the writers have to write around the problems they create!:-)

I thought scalping was a sign to others that they killed their enemies or something like that.

Thanks! That makes much more sense than 'humliation' and would be misdirection for those who eventually found Hector's body. Strange that they would leave him alive to reveal even the tiniest bit of information. Sometimes I forget it is just pretend!:-)
