Found a show with a higher murder rate per capita than Longmire - Shetland...

I did enjoy Longmire, but wished they would have avoided the killing an episode trope.

With that, I found a show with even a higher murder rate per capita than Walt's jurisdiction and that is the Britbox show Shetland. From what I read, the population of this area is about 22k, but talk about the murders portrayed in this show.

Still, Shetland is a good series.

Yes, I'm at the end of Longmire Season 3, and I'm finding the dead body every episode tiresome. I would like to see other types of investigations.

Shetland is the superior series in my opinion. The scenery alone is worth the watch. That's one thing I think Longmire missed out on is showing wider vistas, but it was made before it was fashionable to send out a drone to film wide spans of countryside. Maybe that changed in later seasons. I'll find out. Also, Shetland doesn't feel like bodies are stacking up. An entire series revolves around one murder and the resulting investigation usually.

I'm dreading Shetland without Douglas Henshall though. It just won't be the same.
