One of the greatest TV Shows of all time.

As a Brit who hates British TV Shows and loves American TV Shows i must say that Scandal is one of the greatest TV Shows of all time. Recently there hasn't been many great TV Shows, there's only literally a few good US TV series left.

Scandal is great in many ways, it's a show that has a black woman as the main focus, that is very rare in TV shows, it was the stepping stone to the other great show "How To Get Away With Murder" which also has a dark skinned black woman front and centre.

The dialogue and the way that they talk to each other 70% of the time in Scandal is unusual in a good way and is original, i love it. I know there's gonna be a time when Scandal will end, but we as fans can always stream it from start to finish.

Another reason why Scandal is great is that they don't have dumb stereotypical black characters. They actually have intelligent non-ghetto black characters.

Some viewers may have a problem with Olivia only romantically involved with white men, but that's neither here nor there, there's so many interesting plots and twists, who Olivia sleeps with and makes out with isn't important compared to that. Olivia only dated that one black guy (one of her dad's pawns) for 5 seconds, that was the only black guy she's dated so far, but who cares.

The writers of Scandal are clever, they always present more storylines and more character arcs, it's fantastic.

Yes, Kerry is the "Star" of Scandal, but the main focus???? Plenty can argue that the way she is treated/pushed aside for the lesser characters, main focus would not come to mind when describing Olivia.

LOL For most of the series, Olivia was the ONLY regular black cast member (character) on the show. So I guess they get a point for not making Olivia ghetto.

You're either extremely naive or an agent of Shondaland. No one who has been watching this show for 5 seasons still thinks it's a good show. It was a good show in seasons 1 and 2, but then Shonda wrote her show into a huge pile of filth and can't come out of it. Nothing can save this show now. Tell Shonda I said "hello" and I still think her show is garbage.
