The big twist in the movie is revealed: one of the characters is Ripley's daughter!

It's being confirmed the movie is set 20 years after the first Alien.

Why set the movie between two movies? Unless they want to connect to one of the movies in some way. But how? I'm guessing the "20 years" is a huge clue, it can make the daughter of Ripley 20~30 years old.

And in the trailers, a lot of young girls are running around. It's freaking obvious one of them is the daughter.

Such a big universe and all these sequels need to be tied directly to one character. That doesn't make much sense, just make it about aliens with new characters.
