Rachel Must Be Dumb as a Post!

She cheats, she lies, she says that she loves him! And now due to her personality deficiencies, her partner compromises their boss and Rachel is saved again!

And Janet compromises her own integrity by continuing her adulterous affair while covering for Rachel's indiscretions. DS Andy is no better.

Rachel is looking so hard for love that she can't see the forest through the proverbial trees. And like a lot of self loathing women, she seeks out men who treat her like dirt AND she keeps going for it.

Do ya mean Rachel, pet?

Your description is accurate! LOL

reply

Yes I was referring to Rachel. Sorry about that and thanks for the correction although I tend to spell Rachel as Rachael.

I like DCI Gill's character although it is not developed as much as Janet's and Rachel's characters.

reply

Rachel isn't stupid, she's immature.

She's a brilliant detective, especially when pissed (drunk)!

Are you stuttering? Or do you just enjoy opening multiple threads to say the same thing?

at her age, 'immature' is really sad, AND sick; along with the alcoholism, which is 'understandable', this character is a HORRIBLE 'role model' for girls/women and professional cops. but ... she is nice to look at!

That's a contradiction in terms, nobody can be.

I disagree. Both lead characters and their boss are intelligent, quick - and they have to be to respond to the clues/the cases and most especially when they are interviewing suspects. Love how much they glean from this query: "Can you tell me about....." or "What would say if I told you that....." Always in a calm, unemotional voice. Love these characters and their boss.

It’s worse when you remember that she actually married a good one. And then (I’m on Season 4) she dated another decent one. It’s like she’s a machine- efficient at her job, but programmed to make bad personal choices.
