the fat man was so annoying (spoiler)

Not sure why he was even in it?

Looked like he had the worst looking wife out of the group, then he cheats on her with a fat pig anyways who he badmouthed before he was drunk lmao. He was like the wannabe, Rhona Mitra character couldn't stand him.

reply

He was insecure which is why he acted the way he did.

reply

Agreed.

reply

Fat pig?

If it harms none, do what thou wilt.

reply

I don't think there is ever an appropriate time to call someone "fat" or "fat pig" in referring to anyone, women or men. That wasn't very nice

reply

he was fat and he was a pig. a male chauvinist pig! and they are the worst men out there!

Reading the paper can really be depressing. Mr. Dithers fired Dagwood again.

He is the exact kind of guy I really really hate. He has a horrible personality, is too lazy to take care of his body so he gets fat, isnt naturally attractive in the first place, is lucky enough to have an attractive cool wife who puts up with his awful personality, drinking, and over ugliness inside and out, and yet he still is a pig when it comes to women. he stares at them, makes comments about how hot they all are, talks about how he wants to eff him them, WOULD eff them, and only super hot chicks, he even offended the overweight girl as if he could do any better, ha. he feels entitled to wanting and thinking he could maybe get really hot girls --why? because you're so hot, and charming and interesting? his personality was literally obnoxious as ****. he contributed nothing but annoyance. and ends up having sex with her because noone else would and he knew it so he did it to at least have sex with someone different than his wife. then he effing cries about losing her. cry me a river!! and there are SO MANY men like him out there its crazy. he was a good actor because he realistically represented "that guy" the annoying, uninteresting, partially stupid, drunken, overweight, unattractive guy who somehow scores a good wife, but is a total pervert and thinks he could get better, always wants better, and whether he cheats in person or with porn or whatever, hes constantly thinking about other women all the time anyway.

Insecure? Sure, maybe hes insecure but you really think thats a justifiable reason for him to be the piece of shi* he was?

All of them sucked but Marty sucked just as much as Vincent. Only he was more annoying. To listen to and to look at. Vincent is different, he could any girl he wanted anyway with his charm and looks. Of course hes gonna be an a-hole player who cheats on his beautiful wife. When you're NOT charming and handsome and successful and whatever, and you're lucky enough to be married----keep it in your pants. And if you cheat and lose her dont cry like a little boy who didnt know any better. God he sucked.

@LoversLaneXO

I agree. And the truth is...there are so many unlikeable characters in this film that it makes it hard to like the film itself since there's no one I even care about.

Cheat with porn?

reply

I agree with everything you said. Am watching the movie now, and came here to say the same thing, coz he is the type of guy I hate the most. Really laughable how he's no oil painting, yet makes derogatory comments about the 'fat chick' - ugh!

I simply am not there...

reply

That was sort of the point of the movie, to be the biggest piece of sh!t to make you feel like the other people aren't so bad after all

Yet, ironically, he's the only one who manages to salvage his marriage while the other guys lose their spouses one way or another. It seemed like Marty and his wife were a bit more open and honest with each other from the start, though... they each knew each other's flaws and were able to overcome each other's infidelities.

While it was easy to hate on the Marty character for his obnoxiousness, I admit that him and Mimi were my favorite couple in the film due to their honesty and I think they were the only couple that truly loved each other for better and for worse. It helps that they sort of reminded me of a sitcom couple - fat, boisterous husband with a sassy, hot wife.

reply

I agree. Didn't like him in the movie. He always had something to say that he thought was funny but wasn't. Kind of an eyesore. Lol.
