Just saw episode 4...

In the comic book, Retro Girl was killed by
an obsessed fan who wanted her to be remembered forever at the peak of her fame, before she had a chance to fade away and be forgotten or become a washed-up joke.

We seem to have met someone who may fit that description.

My original theory was that she was killed by someone at the PR firm because she was preparing to retire, which would have reduced her marketability and cost them a huge amount of money. By killing her when she was still active and under contract, she would become an even more valuable property. That would have kept the "kill her before she's forgotten" element from the comic.

In a future episode, they reveal who killed Retro Girl.

How did the fan do it in the comics ???

I had not heard of The Powers graphic novel series, so I am watching this show fresh ... and enjoying it ...

And for those wondering if it is a good show and worth watching, it is not everybody.

Same as the show: Drainer and a knife.
The difference is that, in the comics, Drainers have been around for a long time so the killer was able to just download plans off the internet and build his own.
No big conspiracy.
