... given all the outlandish things that are happening in real life in 2017. Donald Trump building a wall, literally banning Muslims from re-entering the country, being under the influence of the Russian Premier etc.

Just to keep up with all the real world goofiness Fincher may have to consider having an alien invasion subplot, or killer robots or time travel or something, coz right now the real news is making for some good, yet farfetched drama. HoC's is gonna have to adapt.
