Please help with a plot point.

I cannot remember anything about a picture of a rebel soldier. It seems to be very important to Francis and Doug, enough so that Seth was fired over it. If someone could help me out with some hint or even tell me which season it shows up in, I could check the episodes myself.

I would be very grateful for any help concerning this. I need to at least know what could be so important about a photograph being leaked that they fired Seth over being the one who leaked it to the press, I guess.

Thanks.

I think you are confusing two different things. Francis went to some sort of historical ceremony where he met a Civil War reenactor who played Francis' ancestor as a Rebel soldier. The man had done a great deal of research and was dead serious never cracking a smile. Francis later had nightmares about his ancestor.

The photograph incident cost Francis the primary in South Carolina which is his home state. An old photo of Francis' father, the local banker and a Klux Klux Klan leader was leaked to one of his hometown enemies who used it in a flyer.

It cost Francis the primary in his home state despite his explanation that his father had to do it to get a bank loan to save their farm and everything the family had accumulated. He told black church members his father had no sympathy for the Klan and had never joined it. It did no good as African Americans there had such bad memories of being abused by the Klan.

Thank you so much. I believe you are correct that I am mixing the two issues. All I could remember about rebel soldiers were from back in the time of Frank's near obsession with the Civil War when he buried his ring at a grave site. And I do remember the KKK situation with his father and Frank's explanation at the black church.

Again, thank you for solving my problem.
