Frank made a mistake forcing Walker out

I know Frank wanted only to become president, but to take revenge on Walker. But rewatching the show, he should have seen it as a foolish move. Because Walker became so unpopular that it affected Frank too. Frank became president when Walker resigned, but he was part of a tainted administration. He would always be seen as the vice president of a president who resigned to avoid impeachment. I just feel like it would have been smarter to wait Walker out at that point. Or, run against him in 2016. I actually think could have been really cool, seeing the vice president run against the sitting president in the next election.

I know Frank ended up winning reelection, but look at how hated he was and he pretty much cheated to win. His legacy as president would always be tainted. I mean look at Gerald Ford. Frank would be just like him.
