This story is about a Liberal runned city, right?

Has so many signs of what it's like right now in New York with the lawlessness and woke progressive DA policies that let criminals right back out to re-offend in their double to triple digit criminal record before the eventual murder. Even the beginning of the movie was showing knock out punch game on a innocent bystander and guess what? THE FIRST VICTIM WAS AN ASIAN before we even see Batman signaling the recent anti-asian hate crimes.

No, Gotham is run by a Republican mayor in this movie.

reply

Ah, right. The black lady was liberal.

reply

She wasn't the mayor

Says who? Look at the recent NYC mayoral election, the big contest was between who would get the democratic nomination in the primary. That was the real election. In all of America's biggest cities, democrats have dominated for decades. NYC is actually an outlier for having two recent republican mayors (under whom crime, coincidentally, was reduced to its lowest levels in decades, and the city stopped being a graffiti-covered cesspool like it was in the '70s and '80s). Chicago hasn't had one since 1931. Philadelphia hasn't had one since 1952. Detroit not since 1962. Baltimore not since 1967.

Big urban centers in this country are simply not known as bastions of conservatism. Why would Gotham in this movie be any different?

Can I like this?

reply

Philly is a shithole.

reply

Baltimore is that shit-holes little brother.
DC, Philly, Baltimore, NY, Boston, Portland, Seattle, LA, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit
Port-a-Potties all over the place!

You would think people would learn by now that voting Democrat is like voting for destruction of the city, yet people are brainwashed that if they keep voting for the politicians that keep wanting to take away personal freedoms, take away the right to own a gun (and protect oneself), and force-feed authoritarian and anti-civil policies into place, then maybe they can keep those "Raycist Republicans" away, and all it's done is hurt the people who fear Republicans the most (that's not to say that Republicans are some bastion of hope, but they sure as heck don't push for the sort of degenerate policies that Democrats are known for).
