Camera Battery Solution, TNG-style

I haven’t seen it proposed but one creative solution to the 60 year old camera battery still working is this:

The camera and the battery were inoperative until they synced up with their proper time. So before the camera rejoined its original “time zone” it was just a dead weight. Sure, it worked for a few minutes in the past (when we saw the old Russians filming with it) but once it adjusted to that foreign time zone it became a fancy paper weight. This also helpfully explains why there isn’t any fallout from the fact that Russian military had access to that tech and the info on the video for 60 years and did nothing with it.

This explanation would fly on Star Trek TNG if couched in enough technobabble!

Tara Reid being as fuckable today as she was in the late 90s would sound believable, if couched in enough technobabble
