Does Anyone Else Think...

That they all survived? That it was merely an intense haunted house experience the whole time? We never see anyone actually die. All of the cut scene interludes imply that notion.

Other than that, I thought this was a great FF film.

You're correct that we never see them die, but there's a strong indication they were simply buried alive.

Most of the conflict they encountered was around objections to them filming. Remember the clown confronting them outside their camper? The "bunny" with the axe in the forest? Being told they couldn't film inside one of the haunts? Also, the scare actors in the bar?

My take was that they were killed because of their insistence on filming everything. Kind of an ironic, tongue-in-cheek jab back at the found footage genre.

I think that guy at the end said it best. During a haunt he is in character and does not want them to escape. At extreme haunts, they obviously go way into character.

No I don't think they survived, that much I think is clear. One thing I don't get though is whether the killers were supernatural or not. Obviously the guy interviewed at the end wasn't and the idea of having a group that does that is distinctly human, but what about the doll girl? Clearly she isn't human, unless she's found a way to teleport from place to place. So is there a supernatural element to it or not? I feel the answer should be obvious, and I realise I'll get bagged out for asking it, but sadly I don't know whether it's an obvious "yes" or an obvious "no"!

The possibility that any of them survived never crossed my mind...until I found out there's going to be a sequel.

Spoiler alert: They all survive. It was just a haunt.
