Where did the students come from?

I watch this show casually so I've probably only seen half of the episodes. I watched an episode where they were still in the normal school setting and the next one I watched they were on the bionic island. Where did they get the students?

The Bionic Island students came from the remnants of Krane's "Army" from "Rise of the Secret Soldiers".
