Horrible! Screw this movie! I hate it with passion!

Okay so I gotta get this off my chest. Just watched this movie (friends wanted to watch a horror movie, they fell asleep during the movie lol) and it left me with such a bad feeling that I gotta write this down. I don't care if anyone responds, I don't even wanna start a discussion - just wanna write this down and let it all out.

Who and why would people find this entertaining? Sure, it's kind of an interesting look into the very darkest reaches of human psyche, but I feel super horrible after enduring through this. Figured I'd stick to the end, and what do I get? Biggest slap in the face ending of all time. The bastards didn't get killed (was so looking forward to that the entire time) and then his brother dies. Why? Why is that necessary? What did that accomplish? Being edgy and cool? Ooh look at me, I'm dark and stuff. No happy ending, zero satisfaction to you! Whatcha gonna do? I bet the guy who came up with this movie really is like the main villain in the movie - a sadistic sociopath. It's anti-climactic to the max. Makes me feel like punching the creator of this movie straight in the face. I mean damn this movie left me with a BAD mood. Like a super nihilistic feeling, like there is zero hope for human race ever and screw the universe for ever existing. This is not what I wanna feel like after watching a movie. What are people trying to accomplish with movies like this? I just don't get it. Not making people entertained I guess. I mean sure it got me thinking (about all the worst and idiotic things about humanity), but it pretty much ruined my whole day (happy halloween! yay.) I don't know about other people but I don't wanna watch movies to make me feel super depressed about life. The person who came up with this must be very, very sick in the head to think of and bring to existence something like this. Human cruelty and greed and lack of consciousness, compassion and understanding always seems to baffle me.

Well at least I finally figured out that I never wanna watch horror movies again in my life (been entertaining the though for a while, but this broke the camel's back. Congrats..?) There is so much evil in the human heart, I don't need to be reminded of it through "entertainment." I'm sorry but movies should not leave me feeling like this, there is a reason why most (IMO good and entertaining) films have a happy ending. I wanna feel like there is hope at the end, not that humanity is doomed to eternal "hell" of selfishness and uncaring disunity.

0/10 for the movie. Screw this movie. No-one should ever have to see this garbage.
10/10 for hitting me right in the feels. I think that some might view this as an achievement for the film, but I don't think anyone should be proud for causing people to get so depressed about "art."

Such a horrible experience. Would not recommend for anyone. Stay away. Well I guess that's Halloween for ya. Ramble over, peace out.

Ya I love a good horror flick, even a good slasher or gore flick, but this was pretty tasteless..no characters to root for, pretty repetetive story structure, stupid dialogue..just a pretty horrible disguisting flick to watch

It wasn't as good as I hoped it would be, but I still enjoyed it.

the premise didnt bother me, i like 13 sins & cheap thrills. I couldnt get into this tho mainly because I feel most of the characters actions & decisions werent realistic or consistent. sasha greys character for example was completely unbelievable imo.

LMAO OP horror films aren't meant to make you feel GOOD. If you want to be put in a good, optimistic kumbaya type of mood there's plenty of movies out there for ya. Horror is clearly not for u.

Yes, the OP of this thread should stay away from horror movies.

Every Halloween season I make a point out of finding new horror movies to watch and this was the first one. I've seen better, but I've seen much, much worse.

It helped that the rich guy throwing the party had a jovial attitude even when Iris got away for a little bit and then was brought back. It ratcheted up the dread factor more than if he acted more like a grim reaper. Bevins was also a good casting. The producers also toyed with the viewer's emotions a bit by introducing that character who broke into the house with a loaded gun, as if he was going to be their savior or something.

Back to Iris like her, I would have taken my chances holding my breath for two minutes instead of seeing what was on the card. Her card was getting all her teeth extracted which for me might be worse than slitting my own eye or getting whipped three times and would be way worse than an ice pick in the thigh.

Yes, she won and she got rich, but she'd probably have to spend all the money on different types of therapy bills for the rest of her life, assuming she has a heart.

No kidding, who knew.

I guess according to "feelings", probably should have not made Schindlers list either.

Hahaha exactly xD I guess OP just didn't know what does "horror" mean because come on... Since when are horror movies even supposed to be feel-good movies??

Okay after reading this I gotta agree with the guy on the other post. You, my friend, are a fucking pussy. Different kinds of movies are made for different kinds of audience. Get the fuck over it.

I have watched many horror movies, where the good guys win at the end. I have watched many horror movies, where the villain wins the battle, and the good guys lose at the end. This is simply what this movie is, a horror film, where the good guy, or good side, meaning Iris, loses at the end. Her brother committed suicide, after she went through a great deal of both physical, as well as psychological pain, trying to win a bunch of money to help him as he fights leukemia. It is quite a WTF horror film, with lots of sick, twisted dialogue and surprise events. I liked this movie a whole lot, and i remind myself over and over, that it is JUST a movie. It isn't real! Thank goodness it is not real!!! My faith in humanity is still down, but never out! As long as this movie is not a representation of real life, I will recommend this movie to family and friends, and i will watch movies similar to it, like Cube, and The Exam.
