Sightseers is a comedy?? / horror

I have just watched the "British Comedy" ????? Sightseers. I am appalled that the British can even call this in any way or form a comedy! Come on? What is so funny about going around killing people who simply get in your way? What is suppose to be so Funny to see detailed pictures of heads being crushed! Is there not enough REAL violence and tragedy in the world with out making sick movies and calling it a Comedy??? If you want to make this kind of movie, then at least leave the "comedy bit out of it " and call it what it is a true Horror! If the British truly find this funny, then I am worried!

are you serious? Your post was pretty funny. I understand why people wouldn't enjoy this film but come on...You come off as someone who hasn't watched many films in their life and I know that can't be true since you are commenting on IMDB. This is not a straight comedy it is a dark comedy. Are you telling me Shaun of the Dead should of dropped the humor? Pulp Fiction? Fargo?

I feel like you just trolled me. If that is so then well played...

your comment/comparison to shaun of the dead is spot on.

some people commenting in here have completely missed the point of 'dark' comedy.

I'm not saying this is the best movie in a while - but maybe one of the points of the movie is to point out the way that the acts of violence are so out of place in your consideration of what a normal response would be.

maybe its also the juxtaposition of a 'holiday' that involves these serene surroundings and the sightseeing with the gore and violence.

I know Edgar Wright is also associated with this film, but I find his films (e.g. Shaun of the Dead), a lot funnier and wittier than this wannabe dross.🐭

You obviously don't know the concept of dark humour, as such I recommend looking at real life to understand it. It's like that saying goes about tragedy is comedy or something to that effect. It's not for everyone and that's fine but it's silly to accuse others of what is or isn't comedy.

I agree. It wasn't funny that Poppy ran away at the end. Who's going to take care of it out there? The wild animals will get him.

Sarcasm.
