Hang on, have people seen this already?

6.3 is oddly specific of a rating despite this not coming out for another month.

Whatever you are, be a good one.

The Great Wall opened Overseas on December 16, 2016 and has currently grossed $199 million (not all in China, either). The film doesn't open in U.S. until February 17, 2017 so I'm assuming at least 60% of the 6.3 rating is from people voting it down simply because Matt Damon is in it.

Depends where you are.

I'm in China and it was released on theater on Jan 16th. It's not the first time US film release in Asia or Europe prior to the US.

I watched in China at the beginning of January

I've seen it in theaters yesterdays. It was ok, but nothing special. The story was pretty straightforward, but some action scenes were pretty cool. Aside from some scenes, this movie might aswell have been directed by someone else than Yimou Zhang. Felt a bit like a waste to be honest. Honestly, Matt Demon felt a bit miscast here, while I did like Pedro Pascal and Willem Defoe.

All in all, it's just another typical Hollywood blockbuster.

It's already been released in China.

I've seen it in IMAX and it was very good for an action/adventure movie. I liked 3D effects more than those in recent Marvel/DC/Star Wars movies

I've watched it and just want to say it's a standard hollywood movie , and about the scene snd plot , I will say that imagine Starship Troopers happening in ancient China . Then actors ... Matt , Chinese actress Jing Tian and Andy Lau are the main characters , Pedro and Willem don't have so many scenes on the last half . Just like every monster movie , everyone dies except the most important characters at the end ...
