Firstly, you are comparing a story set in an historical setting with something in the Marvel universe.
It's Marvel universe... it isn't like they cast Black Panther as an albino white supremacist. This is about as relevant as complaining about the shape of his chin whiskers or eye colour, unless ethnicity or eye colour is made important in the film.

Assuming you are talking about Centurion: did you notice them all speaking Latin, or Italian? I didn't. So why do you assume he was even from Britain, apart from his accent? I'll give you a clue why this is silly: Russel Crow in gladiator. Did he sound or look like he came from ancient Rome, or Spain? No. Did we think he was actually from Austrlia or New Zealand, and emigrated to Rome, because he spoke utterly unlike a Roman would (and in English). No we did not.
There were plenty of black legionnaires. If they fought for Rome they could and would very well have been sent to Britain.
This isn't historical, monsters never attacked the great wall. the "whitewashing" brigade also complained about gods of Egypt are you going to tell me that you believe that those gods actually had a fight in Egypt?
This movie and God's of Egypt are just as fictional as marvel or game of thrones. Just because the great wall exists doesn't make this movie historical, new york exists that doesn't make the avengers historical.
This is a fantasy film set in historical China. The great wall is being attacked by dragons for crying out loud. Its basically in the same category as a Marvel film. How stupid can people be?
