Admirable and glorious picture, this Holy Rollers. I'm not sure it's the sort of movie that can be fully understood or explained, and that's part of its value. I often thought he was hired to perform for civilians, act out their wishes or desires : the banker wants the thrill of being assassinated, the model wants to be kidnapped by a monster. The gorgeous niece wants a chance to say goodbye to her precious uncle, a chance she was robbed of when he died before she could get there...

... but then she also is an actor like him. They are both playing parts for no audience. Unless the dog...?

When Oscar played the part of Alex and killed Theo, then switched places with him, and Theo, despite a gushing neck wound, soon recovers, takes Oscar's place and goes on with his day and life, it made me wonder. Specifically, it made me wonder "Uh... What? huh? Did he... was... hm?"

I can't explain the ride home with his daughter. I don't know who that guy with the facial birthmark was in the limo with him. I can't say why he was talking about business and bodyguards and guns at the very beginning. I can't even tell you why Kylie Minogue was so durn beautiful, only that she was and I'm glad I saw it.
