I couldn't believe my eyes !

....irritating , boring , fascinating , disgusting , outrageous , absurd , ...but i have to admit i've spent a lot of time discussing this movie , reading about it , surfing the web....so , in the end , it wasn't such a waste of time , was it ?

reply

exactly how i feel!

Dito... right up there with Jodorowskys movies! :D

Still not sure what to think or feel.. but definitely a crazy ride...

reply

yeah, i am wondering myself. am I seeing more here than there actually is ? maybe a cigar is just a cigar ? could be that this was just one crazy ride with lots of good visuals and a nice soundtrack, but nothing more ?

reply

I don't think there is such a thing as over interpreting in a film like this.

I was enjoying this movie, as I tend to like the kind with hidden meanings that aren't immediately obvious. I was really trying to think outside the box and come up with the "x factor" that made the rest of it make sense, and I figured the final scene would offer some clue. Instead it did the exact opposite. Others have suggested it's a commentary on the film industry itself, but that it requires knowledge of lots of obscure films to make sense of it. I have no problem with "artsy" films, but if taking a course in film appreciation is a prerequisite for understanding your movie, then you've failed to get your message across.

True. Just watched it and while I'm not sure what to think of it, it was definitely interesting. A few things felt a bit much (the apes at the end?), as if they were simply trying to be strange for the sake of it, but otherwise it was a fun ride.

is there couples who just go's to work, talk about all their problems at home? Don't some people go to friend's and find themselfs again complaining to friends about home problems BUT THEN,,,don't some of these people go home and play deaf-dumb and blind?

reply

What a piece of garbage! Art house pretentiousness at its most extreme! Let's all pretend that this offensive, nonsensical mess is actually a movie!

reply

2 questions for you hamiam3:

1- What's the film pretending to be?
2- What did you find offensive?

We've met before, haven't we?
