doubt it will make 100 million at this rate, huge flop

Horrible numbers for as big of a name as the Assassins Creed franchise is. I've been to a couple of foreign countries and have even seen people play these games in the far corners of the globe. Yet it is only making pedestrian numbers worldwide, that's pathetic for that big of a name. I've seen better numbers from no-name first time movies.

reply

It hasn't even opened in all foreign territories yet, so we have to wait and see. That number will increase as it opens in more markets. It's apparently performing best in Spain and France at the moment (I expected that it do best in France). Warcraft also didn't start off with much but the foreign gross increased as it opened in some of the top spots in more countries until it finally opened in the top spot in China which practically saved the movie.

reply

China did not save Warcraft. Furthermore Assassin's Creed is going to do nowhere near as well as Warcraft in China.

reply

Well, China pretty much might of saved Warcraft considering that it could break even and make some money on home video now:

Note: The chart above on the The-Numbers website only go up to 16 October now, it hasn't yet updated the chart for the rest of the year, so the it only accounts for the first 2 weeks home video sales and 3 weeks of Blu-Ray sales.

I'm well aware that Assassin's Creed is not going to do as well as Warcraft in China because the game is not as popular there. But I'd guess that it might gross as much as $250 - $350 million globally when all is said and done but we'll have to wait and see.

reply

350 for Ass Crap? No, DrNude, just no.

Idiot.

reply

If you paid attention, I said that's the best case scenario, realistically it might be around $250 million but it needs to get at least $240 million to break even.

reply

no chance

reply

Oh, I paid attention, DrNude. And I'm still laughing at the idea that somebody dared to suggest this crapshoot had any chance whatsoever of scoring 350 million.

You're inbred.

reply

You mean like how the Warcraft "crapshoot" made $433 million worldwide? Even in the worst case scenario, where most moviegoers will avoid it, there are still enough fanboys to make it at least front-loaded in every territory it opens in, though it may have very short legs. I'm just working from the math here. You know, for a troll you're not very good at it.

reply

You are delusional, DrNude. 350 million for Ass Crap! Bwhahahahahahahhaa!

I'm going to take a pic so you can't edit history. Heh, what a massive moron.

reply

You do that but all it'll prove is that I actually never ever said that it would make $350 million. Dumb ass.

reply

So much for the international markets saving it.

reply

You said it might, you brainless twit, it's a fact. Already trying to twist out of it, huh, DrNude. What a pussy bitch, heh.

reply

Box office mojo is showing $14,200,000 as the foreign total. However, it only has numbers for Lithuania and Turkey. What other non-U.S. markets has the movie release in so far? The UK release date is shown as January 1st. What about the dates in Central and South America?
