The Animus: What annoyed me most

was it really necessary to change the Animus for the movie?

I guess the director just wanted to put his stamp on the movie

but fans gonna be pissed off for this dumb piece of change

what bothers me most about this animus, is that in this version, technically speaking, if the user is climbing like in the movie(grabbing on to the wall of the room), at some point, he will hit the end of the room
either he will hit a wall or the ceiling

not only that, but it seemed the arm of the machine broke when he did a leap of faith

I really wish these retarded directors would stop trying to alter things from canon content

1101?

I wondered the same, but, then again, if you want to see the user during the simulation (which we can discuss whether it was necessary or not), it would have been rather dull just to see the guy flinching and twitching on a bed. (There's so many ways you can show that with out it getting stupid after a while)
Plus, this animus could have easily "reset" its position. If i climb three stories, the crane goes down after each one, or so. Which i assume it must have done in the case of chases and such, because there's no way the room spanned a bunch of city blocks for him to run.

It made for some cool Cal/Aguilar dual battle scenes, although imo they went overboard with that effect. The change didn't bother me but I wish they had explained it (you can occasionally see what looks like the Animus 2.0 chair in the background).
