I got dragged along to this movie by a friend who is a fan of the game and while I have only played a little bit of the first one he assured me that I need not be familiar with the game series in that the movie was a self-contained story accessible to everyone. that's what the marketing said anyway, it lied.

this movie is confusing, too many scenes that go no way, pointless confusing video game style over the top action sequences that do nothing to advance the plot, bullcrap pseudo-philosophical musings and terrible performances! I'm sorry but this movie sucked!

to this date the only decent video game movie ever is the first Mortal Kombat!

I must agree. My sister is a fan of the game and i love the trailers that come with it. I didnt like the soundtrack but still wanted to give it a shot. My sister had read about the movie and didnt want
to spend money on it. After seeing this...this, i must agree with you. It was chaotic and that switching between gamestyle to the here and now? It just wasn't it. I love movies and usually enjoy watching them, but this was a huge disappointment.

Kind of have to agree. While i've tried to play the Assassin's Creed games there's only one of them I really loved which happened to be the one people keep saying is the least "assassins" type of game (AC4). So my expectations weren't high to begin with. Very chaotic and noisy and just downright... weird...

What???!? Just curious, but what kind of movie were you expecting? I thought this had great action, nothing silly or campy, stuck to the game premise... I for one am super glad it didn't get filmed like a crappy Spiderman or something.
